This University Diploma aims to train competent, autonomous practitioners at the forefront of the most current techniques in the field of aesthetic and restorative dentistry.
The D.U adopts a progressive, clinical, and practical approach, structured around specialized modules combining theory, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and live patient interventions.
Objectives:
Acquire advanced mastery of the principles of modern aesthetic dentistry, both theoretically and practically.
Assess, plan, and perform aesthetic and restorative treatments using a comprehensive, functional, and conservative approach.
Integrate the latest technological innovations, such as dental photography, Digital Smile Design (DSD), CAD/CAM, and next-generation biomaterials.
Master direct and indirect adhesive techniques for anterior and posterior restorations, respecting dental biomechanics.
Manage complex clinical situations, including post-endodontic restorations, smile reconstructions, full-mouth rehabilitations, and multidisciplinary cases.
Develop effective communication with the patient and the laboratory, essential to the success of aesthetic treatments.
Strengthen skills in clinical documentation, aesthetic diagnosis, and functional analysis.
Successful completion of the final examination is recognized by a:
« Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry »
Key strengths:
High-level clinical teaching, supervised by recognized expert teachers and clinicians in aesthetic and restorative dentistry.
Training focused on contemporary techniques, including the use of photography, mock-ups, digital workflow, smile design, and CAD/CAM.
Access to state-of-the-art materials and equipment, for a realistic immersion in modern practice.
Numerous hands-on sessions on models, simulators, or real clinical cases, encouraging immediate application of skills.

Development of skills in dental photography and visual communication, essential in aesthetics.
Access to an educational resources platform: clinical videos, recommended readings, technical fact sheets.
This program consists of 6 modules detailed below.
This module provides comprehensive training in direct restorations, covering both posterior and anterior teeth, with a strong clinical and practical focus. It addresses the properties and indications of composite materials and adhesive systems, the principles of polymerization, as well as cavity preparation techniques according to Black's classifications. Restoration protocols are detailed, including anatomical layering, bulk fill techniques, the management of contact points, and the mastery of esthetics (shade, fluorescence, opalescence, bleaching). A significant portion is devoted to hands-on practice to strengthen operative skills. The module also addresses anterior esthetic restorations, smile lifting and the management of endodontically treated teeth, including pulp capping, fiber posts and core build-ups with ferrule effect, in order to achieve durable, functional and highly esthetic results.
This module is dedicated to mastering digital dental photography, an essential tool for diagnosis, communication and esthetic planning. It covers the key camera settings, the optimized use of the smartphone at the practice, as well as practical protocols for clinical photography. Participants will also discover the principles of digital smile preview and the use of smile design software (Digital Smile Design), with dedicated hands-on sessions. This intensive module, combining theory and practice, aims to enable the practitioner to produce high-quality images and to effectively integrate digital tools into their daily workflow.
This module offers a comprehensive approach to modern restorative dentistry, with emphasis on establishing an accurate diagnosis through radiography and clinical photography. It covers the indications and preparation techniques for indirect partial restorations on posterior teeth, cavity design, as well as the choice between analog and digital impressions. Participants will learn to select and manage restorative materials, master rubber dam isolation of the operating field, and apply rigorous protocols for adhesive bonding, finishing and polishing. The module also incorporates chairside CAD/CAM workflow, the management of wear, erosion and bruxism issues, and the increase of occlusal vertical dimension (OVD). Through varied clinical cases, ranging from everyday situations to complex ones, the objective is to enable the practitioner to develop optimized, durable and esthetic treatment plans.
This module is dedicated to the management of mucogingival issues, beginning with an accurate diagnosis of soft tissue alterations. It covers the treatment of gingival recessions and the gummy smile, while incorporating the presentation of clinical cases for a better understanding of the protocols. Direct adhesive techniques in perio-restorative situations are detailed, along with the management of soft tissues in edentulous areas. Finally, the module highlights modern concepts of perio-prosthetic management in esthetic zones, in order to ensure harmonious, functional and durable integration of restorations.
This module explores new concepts in esthetic dentistry by offering a comprehensive approach, from diagnosis to clinical execution. It begins with esthetic smile analysis, photography and digital preview, while integrating strategies to improve patient acceptance. The indications, preparation techniques and execution protocols for ceramic veneers are detailed, including the mock-up, the choice of materials and the use of CAD/CAM. The module also covers the principles of tooth preparation (horizontal vs vertical), the management of temporaries, impression techniques and adhesive cementation procedures. Particular attention is paid to restorations of endodontically treated teeth (fiber posts, ferrule effect) as well as biological and functional integration in fixed prosthodontics. Finally, the importance of communication with the laboratory and the development of an optimal prosthetic treatment plan are highlighted to ensure esthetic, durable and predictable results.
This module addresses the fundamentals and clinical applications of facial esthetics in dental practice, beginning with facial anatomy and rigorous patient selection. It details the indications for the treatment of various wrinkles (glabella, forehead, crow's feet, lips, perioral areas) as well as the enhancement of lip contours and the smile. Therapeutic applications are also explored, particularly in the management of bruxism, TMJ disorders, gummy smile, black triangles and tension headaches. The module includes the prevention and management of complications, as well as the integration of the dental laser into modern protocols, in order to ensure safe, esthetic and functional results.
