Program presentation

This University Diploma aims to train competent, autonomous practitioners at the forefront of the most current techniques in the field of aesthetic and restorative dentistry.
The D.U adopts a progressive, clinical, and practical approach, structured around specialized modules combining theory, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and live patient interventions.
Objectives: 
Acquire advanced mastery of the principles of modern aesthetic dentistry, both theoretically and practically.
Assess, plan, and perform aesthetic and restorative treatments using a comprehensive, functional, and conservative approach.
Integrate the latest technological innovations, such as dental photography, Digital Smile Design (DSD), CAD/CAM, and next-generation biomaterials.
Master direct and indirect adhesive techniques for anterior and posterior restorations, respecting dental biomechanics.
Manage complex clinical situations, including post-endodontic restorations, smile reconstructions, full-mouth rehabilitations, and multidisciplinary cases.
Develop effective communication with the patient and the laboratory, essential to the success of aesthetic treatments.
Strengthen skills in clinical documentation, aesthetic diagnosis, and functional analysis.

This module provides comprehensive training in direct restorations, covering both posterior and anterior teeth, with a strong clinical and practical focus. It addresses the properties and indications of composite materials and adhesive systems, the principles of polymerization, as well as cavity preparation techniques according to Black's classifications. Restoration protocols are detailed, including anatomical layering, bulk fill techniques, the management of contact points, and the mastery of esthetics (shade, fluorescence, opalescence, bleaching). A significant portion is devoted to hands-on practice to strengthen operative skills. The module also addresses anterior esthetic restorations, smile lifting and the management of endodontically treated teeth, including pulp capping, fiber posts and core build-ups with ferrule effect, in order to achieve durable, functional and highly esthetic results.

This module offers a comprehensive approach to modern restorative dentistry, with emphasis on establishing an accurate diagnosis through radiography and clinical photography. It covers the indications and preparation techniques for indirect partial restorations on posterior teeth, cavity design, as well as the choice between analog and digital impressions. Participants will learn to select and manage restorative materials, master rubber dam isolation of the operating field, and apply rigorous protocols for adhesive bonding, finishing and polishing. This module addresses the fundamentals and clinical applications of facial esthetics in dental practice, beginning with facial anatomy and rigorous patient selection. It details the indications for the treatment of various wrinkles (glabella, forehead, crow's feet, lips, perioral areas) as well as the enhancement of lip contours and the smile. Therapeutic applications are also explored, particularly in the management of bruxism, TMJ disorders, gummy smile, black triangles and tension headaches. Evaluation method and diploma

🔄 Resit session: A make-up session will be organised by the university within one month after the final exam
