This course is an international continuing education program designed to provide comprehensive training on all aspects of implant dentistry.
The course is intended to define a level of competence consistent with that of an experienced clinician.
The aim of the program is to provide dentists with a scientific rationale for all decisions regarding diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care.
The course is designed to provide advanced, evidence-based foundational knowledge in modern implantology and to refine practical skills. This includes treatment planning, surgical technique, soft tissue management, advanced regenerative techniques, and the planning and execution of prosthetics using both classical and digital workflows.
The emphasis is on integrating this training program into the ongoing dental practice of each participant and on the future benefits for dental patients.
The course components include theoretical and clinical didactic knowledge applied to implant dentistry in all its aspects.
The didactic format will include lectures, laboratory time, video literature review, and intensive hands-on practice.
The teaching faculty is selected from members of the University of Genoa and internationally accredited specialists in implantology.
Successful completion of the course and final examination is acknowledged by the award of a certificate: "Postgraduate Diploma in Implantology" and a transcript legalized by the Italian government providing 10 ECTS (250 credit hours, with 72 hours of theoretical and practical lectures, 153 hours of individual study, and 25 hours of thesis preparation).
